Dynamic Locality for Resource Information Dissemination

A key problem to allowing distributed operating systems to effectively utilize resources is the problem of disseminating resource information. Traditional solutions whilst scalable only provide limited information and impose a fixed overhead on the system. In this paper we present a novel technique for propagating information which allows the distance travelled to vary with the workload of the system, whilst maintaining scalability.
